Welcome

Thank you for visiting my page and wanting to know a little about me and my family.

I was brought into this beautiful world on May 29, 1952 (BOY! that is a long time ago!) in Mitchell, South Dakota. I spent my ENTIRE life in Mitchell, also known as the "CORN PALACE" city of America. I attended Holy Family Grade School and Notre Dame High School (which is no longer there). In fact, my class was the last class to graduate from our great school in 1970. My family includes three (3) brothers and two (2) sisters, and they are the best anyone could want. We are fortunate to all live close and spend as much time together as possible. The holidays are so much fun!  I lost my mother to a very sudden & tragic heart attack on October 15, 2003. My dad is at the Avera Brady Home in Mitchell and is doing very well, despite his Parkinson disease.   I attended college at Northern State University  for two (2) years for Secretarial and Office skills.

My life changed on August 26, 1978 when I married my husband, Rob, who grew up in the "HUGE" town of Letcher, South Dakota. He is definitely the person I want to spend the rest of my life with.  We have lived in Parkston ever since. We are both currently employed in the Parkston School District. Rob is the Athletic Director, Head Girls BB Coach and Assistant Track Coach as well as Industrial Technology teacher. I am a Para-Professional Aide in the Special Ed. Department and have been a Cheer Coach for  four years with the GBB squad and share FB with two coaches.  We enjoyed our time alone until our son, Erik, was born on January 29, 1979 and then our daughter, Heidi, came to join us on September 15, 1981. Together the four (4) of us grew into a great family. Erik attended  USD in Vermillion, finishing his GRAD school for his masters in Computer Technology. He did his internship with a company in Yankton and also did student teaching and is currently employed with the  Vermillion Middle School, teaching a second (2nd) grade Keyboarding class and a Junior High Modules class, as well as their Computer Tech Coordinator. He also is the Head Cross Country Coach, 8th grade BBB coach and Assistant Track Coach.  Our daughter, Heidi, attended DSU in Madison, majoring in Health Information Management and graduated in the fall of 2005. She did her internships in Parkston, Mitchell & Sioux Falls. She was very fortunate to be hired at McKennan Hospital as a Coordinator in the Medical Records Department. She loves her job and has been dating a wonderful guy. She is in the process of buying her own place and is very excited not to pay rent anymore and put it towards her new "HOME"!  We also have another "child" named Maggie who is our "adorable" chocolate lab. Our kids gave her to Rob for a present and she is now five (5) years old. I am going to be gaining a very awesome daughter in-law on June 4, 2007. Erik and Sarah have decided to be married in Jamaica and then return home to have their vows blessed in the church and then celebrate with a reception and a dance. It is going to be so awesome to go on this trip and we are looking forward to having Sarah in our family.

As  of now, we are just enjoying our time with our children and rest of the family, hoping that God will continue to give us good health and many good years together. I am so fortunate to have so many wonderful people in my life, especially my husband, ROB!
